Our Core Promise
StackWorth is built on a simple principle: your financial data belongs to you. We don't collect, store, or have access to your portfolio data. Everything is stored locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage (IndexedDB).
Data Storage
All asset data you enter into StackWorth is stored locally in your browser. We never transmit your portfolio holdings, quantities, purchase prices, or storage locations to our servers or any third party.
- Local-first: Your data lives on your device, not in the cloud.
- No account required: You can use StackWorth without creating an account or providing any personal information.
- Optional cloud sync: If you choose to create an account and enable cloud backup, your data is encrypted and synced solely for your own access across devices.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to operate the service:
- Spot price requests: We fetch live precious metal prices from third-party APIs. These requests do not include any of your portfolio data.
- Account data (optional): If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication credentials.
What We Don't Do
- We don't use analytics or tracking scripts.
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties.
- We don't use cookies for advertising.
- We don't require bank connections or financial logins.
Data Deletion
Since your data is stored locally, you have complete control. Clear your browser data or use the in-app delete function to remove everything instantly. If you have a cloud account, you can request full deletion by contacting us.
